Learning Tech Firm Titus Learning Acquires adaptiVLE

Yorkshire-based Titus Learning, a leader in digital learning solutions, has acquired Skipton-based adaptiVLE, a specialist Moodle development and support company. The acquisition strengthens Titus’s open-source capabilities and aims to accelerate innovation within its product and service offerings.

The deal comes at a pivotal moment for the learning technology sector, as organisations face a rapidly evolving digital landscape and a growing need for dynamic, engaging, and scalable learning solutions. The addition of the adaptiVLE team’s specialist expertise and strong client portfolio, which includes the Premiere League, Sainsbury’s, and the City of York Council, enhances Titus’s capacity to deliver best-in-class, tailored learning platforms.

Titus Learning stated that the acquisition was driven by a natural synergy between both companies, which share a passion for challenging the status quo in digital learning. By bringing the adaptiVLE team’s deep expertise in Moodle development and customer delivery under one roof, Titus aims to deliver faster innovation and more tailored solutions for its clients.

Co-founder of Titus Learning, Mike Bennett said “The addition of the adaptiVLE team’s deep expertise in Moodle development and customer delivery enhances Titus capacity to deliver even more dynamic, engaging, and impactful learning experiences.”

The acquisition boosts Titus Learning’s headcount and operational resilience, allowing it to meet clients’ needs more quickly and efficiently. Clients of both companies will continue to be served by the same trusted teams, with the added benefit of greater expertise and resources behind the scenes.

Lewis Carr, Founder of AdaptiVLE commented “I’m excited about working in a much larger team that will allow us to move faster with our Moodle innovations. It will allow us to push the boundaries of what is possible in the Moodle platform. Being able to work with more Moodle customers and working on hundreds more Moodle sites will allow us to identify solutions on a bigger scale and build better products that solve real-world problems. Being part of the Moodle Partner network provides us with greater alignment with the core product and global Moodle team.”

Titus Learning is committed to open-source technology and empowering developers, reinforcing the company’s mission to deliver flexible, extensible, and community-driven learning solutions. With adaptiVLE now part of the team, Titus is well-positioned to continue pushing the boundaries of digital learning and delivering exceptional results for organisations worldwide.
