Titus Learning accelerates growth with acquisition of Hubken Group

Yorkshire-based EdTech company Titus has completed its second acquisition in the last 12 months, acquiring Hubken Group, a Moodle-focused provider. Moodle is a leading open-source learning platform used by organisations worldwide to deliver digital training and learning. The move accelerates growth and further strengthens the position of Titus as the leading global Moodle partner.

The acquisition brings 162 customers, additional technical capability, and a streamlined operating model into the business. It marks a further step in the expansion strategy for Titus, following its recent acquisition of AdaptiVLE.

Founded in 2013, Titus has grown consistently over the past 13 years and is now recognised as one of the leading Moodle partners globally. The business employs over 40 people and supports organisations across sectors, including public sector, healthcare and enterprise.

Duncan Marrison, Managing Director of Titus Learning, said “This is a significant step in our growth journey. Over the past decade, we’ve built a strong, profitable business and established ourselves as one of the leading Moodle partners globally.

Bringing Hubken into Titus is a key part of our strategy to scale our technical capability and offer even greater value to our combined 450 customers. Hubken has built a highly efficient model and a loyal customer base, and we are committed to ensuring a seamless transition that protects those relationships while introducing them to the innovation and support Titus is known for.”

Grace Lawrence, Director at Hubken Group, said:
“Having been part of the Hubken journey for many years, I am incredibly proud of the loyal community and efficient service model we’ve built. Joining forces with Titus Learning is a natural next step that offers our customers the best of both worlds: the personalised care they are used to, combined with the significantly expanded technical resources and innovation that Titus brings to the table. My primary focus over the coming months is ensuring continued support for our clients and helping them unlock even greater value from their learning platforms as part of this global partnership.”

Both businesses will work closely together over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition for customers and team members. Integration will be delivered in phases, with a focus on maintaining service continuity while introducing enhanced capability, product innovation, and long-term value across the combined customer base.
